Discrepancy in data after back track

Hi guys,

Sampling inconsistency in GA data.

I created a weekly report for my website and save it manually to excel. After I backtracked the data I submitted, I can see small-medium data volume discrepancy in the report even though I did not modify the precision level.

Here's a "masked" data for representation.

During the weekly report:

Jan 1-7     - 1023 users

Jan 8-14   - 2043 users

Jan 15-21 - 1793 users

Jan 22-28 - 1201 users

When backtracked the GA data, it shows:

Jan 1-7     - 1032 users

Jan 8-14   - 2134 users

Jan 15-21 - 1813 users

Jan 22-28 - 1102 users

Is this how the data really being represented?

Regards,

Charles

Hi,

I personally allow ~10% discrepancy.
I try to focus on trends rather than numbers.
