Discrepancies in traffic

Hello Everyone,

I have a problem of traffic in the website of one of my clients I can't explain.
He has a website where he promotes an app. It's not a single landing page, but a website.

When I look at Analytics, 94% of the traffic is coming from Atlanta/Georgia.
but there is no action specifically in this region (no ads, no emailing, ...)

When we look at the registration log, we don't have registration from this city.
But we do have registration from Missouri (in example) and the Missouri state is not on the Analytics report.
The source of the state is based on the lookup IP address combined with the declaration of the internet user.

Has anyone an idea why there is this problem?

Wishing you all a relaxing and sunny weekend.

Hi AdOnline,

in such a case I'd set up a custom segment containing city=Atlanta and browse through all the main reports to accrue more evidence on what it might be.

Be sure to enable bot filtering in view settings and check for a possible referral-spam origin in referral report.
