Device names for apple devices are not shown

Hi,

As a Quality Manager at M2mobi I look into Google Analytics daily, creating overviews and getting to know our users better and better. But i'm missing

the device names when viewing my Apple users.

Could someone explain why Google is not showing us those device names like iPhone 5s or 6s?

Best,

Stijn van Vilsteren

I can confirm that this is not just you it is a universal GA annoyance - i do not know why
apparently though you can get more detail form the logs.
see: https://code.google.com/p/analytics-issues/issues/detail?id=408
Investigation:
I can see the machine model being sent in the GA debug logs:
"&dm" = "iPhone7,2";

just one of those things but would be great to get a good answer to this and better to have it work due to the high value and volume of iphone and ipad traffic.
