Hi There,

We run a magazine and I wanted to know if I can track articles by when they were posted. For example, only articles posted in December?

Thank you,

Myles.

Hi @Myles C - yes you could track this by using Custom Dimensions and / or Content Grouping feature in Google Analytics. This requires additional implementation efforts though.

Content Grouping - https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/2853423?hl=en

Custom Dimension - https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/2709828?hl=en

In any case try to widen the meta content with possibly author, number of ads displayed, type of article, article length (word count), year published and similar - this will in return give you a much more granular analysis ability with much more context (easily accessible).

Kind regards,

Zorin
