Data changes in time

I took some data days ago through GA API. The metric was users.

It was 52.343 users from 1 August to 9 August. There was sampling and I used HIGHER_PRECISION for the query. I ran this query 18 August.

I'm running again the exactly same query, same parameters, today is 22 August, 3 days later. And the number of users change to 54.791.

Is there a specific quantity of days that analytics take for stop adding data to the pre-aggregated tables? Can be that the reason of change?

Thanks for any help

Hi Jorge,

Just like you said the data your pulled is merely a 'sample' and is no exact. Universal Analytics used aggregated data and often will recalculated data available to it and because it will not pull all the available data but rather sample it you will sometimes see discrepancies.

In general, the less data your taking to calculate the more accurate and consistent the sampling will be.

Hope this helps.
