Custom channel grouping not working

We do some advertising on LinkedIn and Twitter, and I set-up parameters on the URL so source / medium is, for example, linkedin / cpc

The data always gets pulled into the channel Paid search - even though I've set-up a channel called Other Advertising, and defined the rules that source / medium exactly matches the above paramters

How do I ensure analytics adheres to these rules and stops putting traffic into the other channel group?

Hi DLiley,

Traffic cannot belong to multiple buckets so you need to also exclude linkedin and twitter as sources in your paid search channel if you do not want them there.   That way it will pass to your new channel.

Just edit paid search, add an "and" select "source" then "does not match regex" and use the pattern of twitter|linkedin

Best,
