Custom Dimensions removal

Hi All,

We are having an issue while sending the custom dimension values.

We had created one custom dimension in Google Analytics and was passing value from our application. This custom dimension and value was getting captured in the Google analytics report also.

Now this value is to stopped from sending to Google Analytics[GA] from the application.

We have implemented the code change but some how this value is still be logged in GA report.

The custom dimension is username, we do not want this to be logged in GA so we stopped sending username from the application but still in the report we see username value being populated.

Could you tell me why this would be happening, could there be old session concept where in the missing custom dimension value is being used from the old sessions while displaying/generating the report?

Hi Sahana
Yes, that sounds like it's exactly what's happening.
