Computing an average

Hello,

I have an event metric, "follow" that captures when someone follows a user. I want to have a widget in the dashboard that shows the average follows per user. I tried doing this through custom metrics and doing {{total events}} / {{users}} and then filtering that by the "follow" event, but this filters the total users number as well, therefore all the 0 values are excluded and it gives me a skewed average. For example, if I have 200 users and only 30 of them have actually done the "follow" event, then it would only calculate the average based on those 30 rather than including the whole 200.

Does anyone have a way of calculating and displaying this average?

Thanks!

I suggest {{total events}}/{{Unique events}} with filter on event action/category will give the average number of specific events for users who 'done' those events. I've tested it with my data and it seems to work well
