Im tracking a link click as an event which works just fine in QA, but doesn't work in production

https://www.progressivelp.com/myaccount/#/login

Link in this instance is the Español and English link clicks, I've used GA Debugger and the events are triggering, but don't show up in GA. We're tracking visits to the page but no events at all -_-

Hey Mike,

Do you have the same URL structure in QA, that is with the #?  Are you using useBeacon in fields to set?

Best,

Actually I should have been more clear, QA in this instance just means the testing view that does not filter out our internal traffic is logging the events. Theyre the same site, just different views. I'm using the click text in GTM to trigger the event.

Mike,

If you see it in QA which in this case is a view in GA with no filters .. or at least not filtering your own traffic and don't see it in a view with filters, then I expect you have a filter that is preventing the data from showing there.

Walk through those filters and also ensure that you can see this page in your content reports.

Best,

Theo

Ive got two exclude params that exclude specific request URIs neither of which would affect tracking as far as I can tell.

Exclude

Request URI

\#\/CP\/lease\/[0-9]*\/[a-z]*

Exclude

Request URI

\/#\/\/\(lease\/[0-9]*\/transactions\)

Hi Mike,

Are those the only filters?  Anything different about this view?  Is it a User Id view?

If those are the only filters, at quick glance, I don't think they would catch and eliminate your events in anyway.
