Checking for the Email traffic in Direct Traffic

Hello Friends,

I am stuck with a query here.

For one of my website, last week we received a good number of direct traffic(because Client blasted a emailer without adding any url tagging/campaign name, so all the email traffic came in Direct traffic) and this week the direct traffic is decreased by 70%. We know that the traffic for last week has come from Emailer but how to explain this to the client.

Can I find any report in Google Analytics or so where I can show client that last week the traffic has come from Email Source and this week no email so no such traffic.

All answers are welcomed. Thank you in Advance.

Hi,

If your those emails are sent every week/month then you can show the difference between those weeks/months and describe the situation. You should also teach your client so that he/she will understand what went wrong and what can be done better next time to avoid this kind of situations. Smiley Happy

Hope this helps.
