Can anyone explain this discrepancy in Social Conversions?

Here's an example to illustrate:

In Google Analytics, the Social > Overview report shows I have 293 conversions.

My custom dashboard shows Goal Completions (filtered to only show "Social Source Referral containing Yes") with a value of 70.

None of values for the individual social networks match up in these two reports.

What gives?

Hi @Stephen J

When you go to Social -> Overview your total conversions will include Goals and Transactions (assuming you have e-commerce website). When you check "Goal Completions" is only Goals.

Hope it helps,

Seb

Naturally Google Analytics counts all Goals and Conversions. Try changing your Conversion Type to include what conversions you want counted.  This drop down named Conversion is right above Socials' "Overview" header within the Acquisition>Social>Overview page.
