Bounce Rate is very low

Hi all,

I have a situation where the bounce rate of my site http://www.terrace-gardening.com/ used to be 70% and in a month it reduces to 19%. From many discussion I got some idea that a bounce rate of 26-50% is good while above 70% seems to be dangerous or something needs to be done. But in my case it is none of the situation which is why I feel something is fishy.

If anybody can guide me or help me understand the situation, it will be helpful for me.Capture.JPG

Hi,

The low bounce rate is because of double tracking, sending duplicate pageviews. You have your tracking code installed twice, one instance is inserted using the MonsterInsights plugin and the other one is in a text widget.

You also have Google Tag Manager installed incorrectly through a text widget.

You need to remove the tracking code and the GTM container code widgets.

You can keep the MonsterInsights plugin for analytics tracking, but I'd recommend you to set it up through GTM, in this case you need to disable/remove the plugin and install GTM using this plugin:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/duracelltomi-google-tag-manager/

Once you have GTM installed properly, add an universal analytics tracking tag:

https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6163791?hl=en

Doing the above will resolve the tracking issues and you'll have a correct GTM/GA setup.

Hope this helps, let me know if you have questions.

Adding to arnold answers..

There are other reasons as well for low bounce rate.

1. If there is any events which gets fired on page load even this cause low bounce rate issue.
