Analytics for Pages Within "#" Subfolder Structure

Hi All,

I have a GA-tracked website with pages laid out using the folder structure www.abc.com/#/cat/subject/. Note the "#" subfolder. In GA, when I access Behaviour -> Site Content -> All Pages, it looks like data for the "#" subfolder (and nested subfolders) are simply pooled under the main "/" (see screenshot below). Is it possible to have data breakdown for each of the subfolders within the "#" subfolder?

Thanks in advance for your kind assistance.

Hi :-)

If you change the last line of the tracking code from
ga('send', 'pageview');
to
ga('send', 'pageview', { 'page': location.pathname + location.search + location.hash});

it should work.

Hi Bronwyn,

Thanks for the tip! It led me to this guide that helped me successfully set up URL fragment tracking via GTM.
