All the traffic are direct - after a window pop up click

Hello,

We have a property with cross domain tracking.

Eg. we have two domains, abc.com and xyz.com. For a user to get to xyz.com, the user must click a link in abc.com.

When an user clicks this link, there is a window pop up informing the user is redirected from abc.com to xyz.com. because of this all the traffic to xyz.com is been tracked as direct traffic.

Even though abc.com and xyz.com are both tracked in the same GA property view with right filters and referral exclusions.

Let me know if you need more information to help me with this issue.

Thanks,

Navi

Hey Navi,

Google Analytics allows for cross domain (site linking) tracking and treat it as the same property. The following link should help you set it up, its super easy and just requires a minor modification to your Analytics code.

Let me know if this solves your problem!
