Age - New Users vs Users

Hi,

When I go to Audience Overview, it tells me that I have 30,000 users and 35,000 sessions. However, when I click on Age under Demographics, it tells me that I have 15,000 new users.

I'm wondering if there is a difference between the 30,000 users from the Audience page and the 15,000 new users on the Demographics page or if GA simply wasn't able to capture all of the demographics data from the users that viewed the site.

Thanks,

Sherin N.

Hi @Sherin N :-)
Demographics data is based on a subset of the site visitor data

There is information in the following Help Center page on how analytics gets this data

New users are just a default setting of the view. Out of the total sessions, X%, and Y total users were new visitors.
