I've been busy filtering out spam referrals but a new one has arrived - maybe??? What is a site which only has / or /http:/ as its address and how can I filter it if it is another spam referral?

Thanks

Hi Mark,

If you are seeing only "/" or "/http:/" as a name of the referral, most probably it is because the spammer did something wrong. To make sure if it is spam you can select hostname as a second dimension and check if its fake or (not set)

You can filter this referral the same way you filter others but since this names are very generic you have to add a couple of special characters for an exact match.

^/$
^/http:/$

Although filtering referral will work I recommend you to use a more efficient solution based in your hostnames, that way no matter how and where the ghost spam shows it will be stopped and you won't need to create a filter every time. If you need more information about this solution, you can check my guide

Hope it helps,

Carlos
