Website of a .com domain turns up as .org in Google search

For no apparent reason, all searches for my .com site at  https://www.colormatters.com were delivered as pages .colormatters.org. In other words, Google searches delivered the  entire content of my site  as colormatters.org pages - which has no relationship to me. When I clicked on the link, the page was blank. I did have an issue with the site's verification. In spite of the fact that I clearly had the verification.html installed in the public_html folder, Google failed to recognize it. Yesterday I download and upload a new file and finished the verification process. I also used the "Feedback" option to send a message to Google. It's back to normal now. It defies reason that my site was rendered as .ORG for any reason - and if it was the missing verification, how this may have affected it.

My apologies! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Navigating the Analytics site for Help and Feedback fogged my brain and I thought this was a general forum.
