How does a session counted of the url has a utm parameter if the referrer domain listed in referral exclusions?

Hi,

It will be counted as direct, instead of referral. The utm parameters will be collected normally.

Let me know if you have more questions.

I've added b.example.com in the referral exlusion list. User goes the a.example.com from google organic search then goes to b.example.com, then clicks on this link " a.example.com/?utm_source=test1&utm_medium=test2&utm_campaign=test3 "
, does it fire a new session at a.example.com?

The referral exclusion list uses only the main domain so you only need to add example.com

In your example above no new session will be triggered and the utm_source parameter will overwrite the original source.
