Spam Direct Traffic

Hi there,

I just flagged an unusual direct traffic increase, which I'm pretty sure is spam: +114 sessions in 1h, all coming from direct searches, bounce rate of 100%, 1 page per session, session duration of 0:00 and geo origin: (not set).

For now it just happened once. However i'd like it not to occur again obviously. Though I'm not sure what could be the reason of such a spam. I've seen this occuring with referral traffic before but never with direct traffic.

Is there a way to figure out the exact origin of this traffic and eventually block it?

Hi Jonas R,

Goto source/medium report, In other (select) Network Domain With Secondary dimension (Service Provider). You can find an exact source of spam traffic.

@Thanks
