Landing Pages look like gobbldygook

HI Friends, I've been working through the process to filter out the spam referral traffic - and took a peek at my landing page report, this seems like all gobbldygook. It used to be (like two months ago) all clear landing pages on my website... Can anyone help me understand what is happening on my landing pages report in Analytics? Can anyone tell me what this is and possibly point me to what I need to do next? Thank you so much! Robin

Hi Robin, I am going to assume this is for your personal website www.robinhallett.com, which is a WordPress website. If this is the case, the problem is with how you have permalinks configured in WordPress. https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks

I would try adding a plugin that will fix your old permalinks and replace them with the clean URLs that you are used to seeing. This should fix the problem you are seeing in Google Analytics moving forward, but will not change the results you are currently seeing. https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-permalinks/

Thank you Miguel for your response.

Yes it's for my personal website.

It's so weird, all of my permalinks are clean.

I've always ensured they were - this is a new thing, in the last two months. Before that time, every landing page appearing was fine.

Since I posted originally, I have found that all of these links are connected to my you tube channel. So that's another bit of a mystery... these aren't even pages on my website and they appear as landing pages in Google Analytics? Yikes.

Anyway thanks for any help you might offer!

Well since all of those URLs work with YouTube, such as https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCORXeqQgv1A2_b5qlUPyfsQ , then it might have found the cause.
If the tracking code UA-31696002-1 is loaded as Google Analytics property tracking ID on the advanced setting page, then it is counting your YouTube channel as part of your website since they would be sharing the Property ID. Which would be why it is counted as the landing page ;-)
You can check that using this link and it will be at the bottom https://www.youtube.com/advanced_settings

If that is the case, then you should setup a new Property under you Google Analytics account solely for the use of your YouTube channel to replace the tracking code you are using. This will prevent the two properties and results from getting mixed together. https://www.klipfolio.com/blog/connect-youtube-channel-google-analytics
