Exclude excluded referrals from historical data

I have just started working with a new company who has had GA set up for 16 months.  During this time, the majority of referral traffic came from SPAM referral traffic which I have now added onto the referral exclusion list.

When I look at historical data, it still shows up traffic.

Question: How can I remove all traffic data from the 5 referral URLs from all historical data?

Unfortunately you cannot change historical data. You can use segments to exclude them.

And it is a bad practice to add spam referrals to the referral exclusion list, you will just see them as direct traffic.

Please check the articles below about removing spam:

Hope this helps.
