subdomain shows up twice in analytics

Hi everyone,

I tried to search for this on the net, but didn't find any answers.

We are tracking several subdomains and that works fine. The problem is that in the analytics results page we see one of the subdomains twice: (with dot)

subdomain (without dot)

Once with the . (dot) between domains and once without.

Is this a setting in the filter? The analytics code is on the page 1x, there are no js errors on the page.

I hope someone can shed some light.

Thank you

Hi Anna,

have you checked the hostname report in order to see that everything is fine there? If you are passing on the hostname to URI ina a view filter there may be some issues there.

Kind regards,

Hi Zorin,
thank you for your reply.

The View filter is set up as follows:
Field A -> Extract A
Hostname (.*)
Field B -> Extract B
Request URI (.*)
Output To -> Constructor
Request URI $A1$B1

There are 3 subdomains (.de, .it, and and only one of them ( is displayed 2x (with the above problem) has 1011 pageviews, 840 unique pageviews, 35% bounce rate
subdomain has 445 pageviews, 420 unique pageviews, 100% bounce rate

I hope this will help you identify the problem. Thank you for your help!
