Please refer the three screenshots.

Date range is last 7 days.

sum of users of each day last month when daily doesn't match with users data when monthly.

Can someone please help me with this?

3737 + 2618 = 6355 > 6001

What is the reason for this behaviour?

"Users" is a special metric. If I visit on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, then I visited each day (users = 1 for each day), but the total for the three days would be 1.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the solution.

I have got another question. Please refer the screenshots. I have all settings same, only variable is date range. I am looking for goal completions data for the month of June with custom segment "organic traffic".

But the data for goal completions for June is varying with the data range. Can you please help me out in this as well. (third pic date range: May 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018)

I am afraid I cannot help with your second scenario. Use of segments causes GA to go back and look at the data again. I suspect the full year query is sampled (23 and 46 are multiples - a big clue). Sampled queries for specifics like goals are useless.  Is the 2-month query also sampled? I don't know; doesn't look like it, but the GA server could be process-limited and sampling anyways.

Try using a filtered query instead of using a segment. Look at traffic filtered by medium=organic; or just click into the organic medium on the Acquisition>Source/Medium report.
