Profile Filter - Exclude URI scope

Hi,

I have a profile set up solely for the public/non-client site, and used an Exclude Filter on it:  Filter Field: Request URI > Filter Pattern: ^/client/

"client" is the login area/folder. All seems to work. My question: what is the scope of the filter? Will it filter out [1] all impacted users and ALL their sessions/pageviews etc or [2] it just filters out the sessions/pageviews generated by impacted users within the "client" area but keeps the sessions/pageviews generated outside of the "client" area?

Thanks for your input!

Hi Man,

It only filters out pageviews that match your pattern. Anything else is kept as it was recorded by GA.
