Possible to Filter IP Addresses from Google Experiments?

Hi All,

Does anyone know if it is possible to filter out internal IPs from Google Experiments? Is this covered in setting up a normal IP filter?

Thanks!

Rubin

Rubin,

Filter applied to a profile/view will be applicable to all the metrics and dimensions of that view.

If you want to apply filter for only Experiments feature by including the stats on to other features, then it's not possible to achieve.

Alternative solution is to create a new profile only for experiments then apply internal IP filters. Make sue that this profile will be used for experiments only.

Hope this helps...

Thank you for your help, Nanda.

Would the filter simply prevent me from seeing these excluded IPs in my experiment, or would it also prevent these IPs from being included in the experiment (i.e. seeing a variation page instead of the control page)?

Thanks again for the assistance! It's greatly appreciated.

These excluded filters will exclude all the traffic generating from mentioned IP addresses. To the above query, first is applicable.

Sam.
