Hi, I've been trying to exclude my ip traffic on my website and nothing is working.

Seems like I have a short IP address and a long one. ipv4 and ipv6.

I've tried excluding the ipv4 one with the following: predefined filter/traffic from the IP addresses/that are equal to

I've tried excluding the ipv6 with the following: predefined filter/traffic from the IP addresses/that are equal to.

I've tried using two filters at the same time, one for the ipv4 and one for the ipv6.

I've tried a combo filter with a "|" between them using the following: predefined filter/traffic from the IP addresses/that contain

And I've also tried a combo with the slashes and the "^".

Any ideas about what am I doing wrong? Please use really simple language if possible. I'm not very high tech when it comes to IP addresses. Also, please let me know if you need more info. thanks

I'm doing fine, thank you.  Hope you're doing well.

I don't know which one I need to exclude.  I just want Google analytics to exclude my internal traffic.  Which one would I need to exclude?

Hi, thanks for the articles.  My public IP address appears to be the shorter one; they ipV4.  Like I mentioned in my original post, I've used a filter to exclude that one, but it didn't work.

Any ideas why it's not working?  thanks

Still having a problem with this.  Can anyone help?  I also noticed my longer IP changes each time I reboot (the last 4 sections of the IP changes).  My IPv4 always stays the same though.  Could that be why I'm unable to exclude internal traffic?  thanks

Hello, can anyone help please?  I use to be able to setup filters "by excluding an IP address" but when I try to do this now I can save it?  Where is the save button when setting up a new filter?

Could you share how you fixed it please? I am having the same trouble at work. The filters are saved but are not actually excluding internal traffic. I checked and my IP address has not changed since I made the filter
