Multiple app´s with same google analtytics code --> filter question

Hi all,

Before implementing this big change in my analytics structure, i would like to ask you guys your opionion.

I have te folowing case:

We have multiple apps. I would like to have all the data of the apps in one property. We use ecommerce analytics and we have some goals set. Overall the apps have the same type of structure.

To put all the App data together i would like to create various views. One mother view what collects all the data and For each App i  create an other view with a filter on App ID.

With this structure im able to filter each App and their own traffic?

In the mother view i can use segments to do quick analyses?

Are there some things i did not take into account?

Looking forward to your response.

Your biggest problem with merging everything will be volume - if you cross the 500,000 hits boundary, then your reports will start to be sampled. Since you have multiple apps recording data, the sampling will really mess up your trend reports very quickly.

Otherwise yes, it would work...but I wouldn't recommend it.

Hi Auke Smiley Happy,

I guess the reporting from 1 single property is important. If you guys have Google Analytics premium you could use roll up reporting:

Let us now how it goes!

Good luck,
