How to merge URLs for Report?

My website provides study guides for musicals, plays and operas. I want to create a report in GA that shows our top study guides sorted by pageviews for a given period of time.

The problem is that each of our guides contains tabbed sections that use different URLs. For example, our guide for the musical 'Hamilton' contains the following pages:

http://stageagent.com/shows/musical/4417/hamilton

http://stageagent.com/shows/musical/4417/hamilton/context

http://stageagent.com/shows/musical/4417/hamilton/characters

http://stageagent.com/shows/musical/4417/hamilton/clips

http://stageagent.com/shows/musical/4417/hamilton/songs

http://stageagent.com/shows/musical/4417/hamilton/monologues

http://stageagent.com/shows/musical/4417/hamilton/scenes

In my report showing the top study guides, for each individual guide I'd like to show pageviews based off of the sum of all of the URLs of the tabbed sections for that guide.  Is there a way to do this?

Hi @Jason E ,

You can use the content grouping feature in analytics. You can go to Admin > Content Grouping (under View). Create a page group using rules page contains 'hamilton' (example) and view those reports in all pages or custom reports

That doesn't work for what I'm talking about. It's not just the Hamilton guide. We have 1500 guides that have a similar format.

Hi @Jason E,

I was unaware of the guides being 1500. Then,
One thing you can do is to extract the guide name from URL and pass it dynamically to hit level custom dimension named 'Study Guides' in analytics.
So all the pages beyond the '/GuideName/' would be summed up in 'GuideName'.  It'll look like:
Google Doubt 31.png

page breakup:
Google Doubt 32.png

- Create hit level custom dimension
- Create view filter to extract the guide name and placing it in custom dimension.
filter : shows\/musical\/\d+\/([^/]+)
Google Doubt 33.png

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
