How do I retroactively remove specific pages from a view or segment?

It doesn't appear that a Segment can be applied to only remove specific pages, it removes session/user such that when you filter a Page in a Segment you actually remove that visitors' entire visit. Right?

A filtered View isn't retroactive.

I need to retroactively report data excluding only some pages. At all possible?

Hi Paul,

That's right – contrary to view filters, segments are not hit-specific but filter complete sessions or users. That's quite a difference if you use page URLs for these filters.

What you always can do retroactively is to set an advanced filter in your actual page reports by excluding certain pages by a regular expression, for example

pageA|pageB|pageC

('|' is the OR operator here). Note that you may freeze such report settings by creating a shortcut.
