Google Analytics IP filteration - Not working

I have set up IP Filteration & looks like it is not working

1) Does filtering IP also exclude the ecommerce data because when I do a test order I can see the test order showing up in the GA?

2) Should I do a IP filteration "Begin with", "Equal to" or a "Regular Expression", how to confirm that?

How can I made sure that the IP has been excluded successfully?

Thanks,

Hi,

IP filter will exclude all data from those IPs like page views, events, ecommerce, etc.

please refer:https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1034840?hl=en

For testing you can check in Real time reports if traffic is coming from specific IP machine.

Best Regards,
GA Guru.

'Star' or 'Accept as Solution' if it helped.

Hi

I used the article you referenced, with the exception that i created a new view called "Filtered Internal" before applying the filter to it. I used the section of the article which explains how to create a filter for excluding a single IP, which is what i want in order to exclude internal traffic from reports. However once the filter was in place there is no data at all under the new view i have created. I dont understand why.
