Goal not tracking page

Hi there,

I'm having a few issues setting up a goal for tracking our newsletter sign-ups.

I've created the goal using Destination > Regular expression > #thank-you-message (it is possible to sign up to our newsletter from any page on the website as there is a sign-up block at the bottom of the page). The url looks something like this:

www.sss.com/sss#thank-you-message

www.sss.com/pppp#thank-you-message

I've tested the goal and it's not tracking it. Does this mean that as it is only a module on the page, we'd be unable to track newsletter sign-ups?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hey Social Enterprise,

First thing to do is to make sure that you are getting the fragment (#thank-you-message) in your content reports as url fragments are not tracked by default.

If you are using GTM follow Simo's advice here as he is the man...  that is all.  Smiley Happy
