Exclude returnig visitiors from bounce rate

Can I exclude the returning visitors from bounce rate calculation?

In the case of my web-site, there are a lot of visitors who just check the updates and leave,

so it's rational to exclude them and calculate the bounce rate only for first-time visitors.

Hey Gleb,

You can’t modify how bounce rate is calculated but filtering out data can do the right trick for you and show you the required data. Below are some of the ways which can help you see data for new visitors only

You can exclude returning visitors by following
- setup filters within the report
- create custom report
- setup advance segment
- create a separate view to show new visitors only

I hope this will help you and do let me know if it helped Smiley Happy

Got it! I will try from now. Thank you for the answer!

I tried GA more and got that there is no necessity to do that I was going to do.

In "Actions" section, the bounce rate already calculated for new and returning visitors separately.
