Exclude Self and Specific Devices from Analytics

Hi Everyone...

I have a low volume website so every time I perform administration or test on a few devices it blows the statistics right out.  Is there a way specific devices or something can be excluded?  A dynamic IP won't work otherwise I would just filter for that.  Even so it would be so much easier if there was a flag or something I could use to say 'hey don't include this device or session'.

Hi Ian,

You can use Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/google-analytics-opt-out/fllaojicojecljbmefodhfapmkghcbnh

It provides you the ability to prevent your data from being collected and used by Google Analytics.

Another extension that I recommend: http://www.simoahava.com/analytics/internalize-google-analytics-v1-0/

Here you can read more about filtering internal traffic: http://www.lunametrics.com/blog/2015/04/27/internal-traffic-google-analytics/

Hope this helps.
