Exclude IP addresses

Hi,

I just started using google analytics. I excluded my IP address so my it would not show up in reports. It worked perfectly fine for a week or so. Then my location started showing up all of a sudden. I tried the process with excluding the IP address all over again but this didnt fix the issue. I am not sure what is happening here.

Hi, Thomas G,

Are you sure that your location is your specifically? You may want to just confirm that. Also you may want to see that you are filtering the correct IP address, as your address may have somehow changed. If you google for "what is my ip", it will return your public IP.

Hope this helps

Hi Nicky,

Yes, I do appear on the map everytime I access my website. I have checked for my IP address twice and it is the same as the one I use for my filters. I am not sure how to solve this one.

Hi Thomas.

did you maybe enable IP anonymization at some point? If so, see thread [1] for a possible solution.
