Does our exclude filters works correctly?

We are new to Google Analytics.

We want to exclude internal traffic (Google instruction page:

We want to make sure that the filter works. Google instructions says that under the section "Mutations" it should stand "Hit filtered out" if the filter works. But for us it stands "Hit dropped by filter...".

Does it mean the same or does it mean anything else?

Hey Dennis,

You should be okay. I would just double check by going into Real-Time data and confirming that a session isn't being created from the IP you've blocked.

ps. I strongly recommend you keep an "All Data" view that is without any filters whatsoever and then create a new view that filters out all internal hits/sessions.
