utm can't be tracked

Hi,

I need advice to check this utm, https://www.tiket.com/promo/promo-semua-maskapai?twh=23061343&om=1&utm_source=BBM&utm_medium=media-...

They said, real time report shows nothing in GA. Is utm wrong or campaign should be running first then utm can be tracked? Please let me know if it is.

and also based on information from https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1033867?hl=en

I can't change https://www.tiket.com/promo/promo-semua-maskapai?twh=23061343&om=1 with this rule

Escape special characters

When you enter your URL, you need to escape special characters. For example, if your URL contains a string liketopic=1638563&rd=1, you need to escape the ampersand, and enter that portion of the URL like this:topic=1638563&rd=1

Thank You.

Hi Amanda - the link with the UTM should work just fine. Check the real time again and standard reports a bit later to see if the source medium and other dimensions were processed.

Kind regards,

Hi Zorin,

Thank you for the reply. I think I found the problem why it can't be tracked. When I check page source of that website, I found 2 same tracking code id of analytics.js , the one is inside <head> tag but the other is outside.
I have asked them to remove one of tag and keep the one inside <head> tag.
I hope it will work because utm is fine.

Sincerely yours,
Amanda
