We have used Google analytics successfully for years, but over the last few months Google can't find our tracking code no matter where or how many times we place it in our template file. Please help if you've had a similar issue...

thanks,

Hi Bryan,

I see two problems:
1.) You placed the tracking code twice to your template. Keep only the one in the head tag.
2.) Part of the tracking code is missing. Please make sure you paste it to the template exactly as it appears in Admin -> Property -> Tracking Info -> Tracking Code
Hope this helps.

Hi Bryan,

Can you please check your site using the Google Tag Assistant or GA debugger Chrome plugins?

If you could share your site URL, I'd be glad to help debugging.

www.pratt.edu is the site we're having issues with. After using GA debugger it looks like the two errors are:
1. No HTTP response detected
2. Missing analytics.js script
Because the header is not loading we're assuming that's whey the analytics.js script isn't loading.

Thanks for your help, something must have changed in our tracking code so we were finally able to solve the issue...

I am running into the same problem! My company's IT department says they installed the tracking code correctly but this is the fourth time we've gotten a notification stating: "You have 1 high-priority issue: Missing Tracking Code."
