Why is my internal Site Search not being populated in GA?

I've activated my Site Search option on View Settings, yet no data is filtering through to Google Analytic detailing what search terms people have used in our site.  Have I missed a step?

You need to add the search query parameter from your site into the box.That is absolutely critical.
So do a search on your site. For example, if the URL of a search looks like this:
Then the search query parameter is just a plain "q" without quotes.
If you're having trouble figuring this out, either ask your developer or provide the URL of your site and we may be able to identify it by doing a search.
