Universal analytics page tracking for inner-site traffic

At the moment we use URL parameters to track traffic between page A and page B on our site. For example, if a user clicks on a page A link that leads to page B , the address we will get to ends with &source=pageA.

As we all know this method has several issues, so we're considering using page tracking.Is there a way to virtually add a pageview with the parameter &source=pageA and at the same time keep the URL for page B clean from any parameters?

Hi Sarah,

You can send an extra pageview by adding another "send" command with the virtual page path:

ga('send', 'pageview', '/pageB&source=pageA');

Let me know if this is what you need.
