Rookie question:

Is there a way to track a button/widget on a website that links to another domain (outbound links)? For example, I have a Reviews widget on my website that links to that 3rd party Review website; is there a way to track how the amount of clicks?

Hi,
Yes you can set up event tracking for button/widget clicks and create event goal to know amount of clicks.

How to set up event tracking for outbound links @ https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1136920?hl=en

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Thanks santosh. If the widget/button (which links to the same review site) is on every page of my website, should the code be added to each page header of every webpage of my website? Our developer uses Drupal for our website (https://www.gonavis.com/). I'm not sure if the coding for Drupal is any different from other CMS's.
