Hello,

I have created many GA properties and have published the code via GTM or just pasting the tracking code in the Head tag.

This new websites is a vendor's website (eg. www.ddr.com) and they have pasted my GA UA tracking code in their web Pages. for a new GA property created for https://www.ddr.com.

Our home page is eg. https://www.ABC.com.

All our pages are https.

Issues:

1. When I go to the tracking code and click test traffic, the traffic is not directed to www.ddr.com (vendor website where the code is pasted, the property was created for this website). the traffic is directed to our home page (www.ABC.com). - I do not know the reason for it.

2. When tried google tag assistant, it says that the "No http response detected". Guess there is an implementation error or something is blocking the data transfer between the servers.

The vendor already has their own GA code, which they established via GTM. So is my best solution is to ask the vendor to remove the pasted UA Script and publish the GA code via GTM ?

Thanks,

Navi

Hi Navi,

The only snippet that I found from the source code was the GTM snippet. Seems like Google Analytics has deployed through GTM.

That's the UA tracking code that is working properly: UA-29074308-1

I couldn't find any other snippets. If you'd like to send data to another GA property as well, it would be easier to do that through GTM for sure.

Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes.
