Setting up custom variables (layers of data)

I am trying to set a way to correlate data.

How would I implement in code to report custom variables and then I correlate them.

For example Long Island --> Page Name --> Weather

or New Jersey --> Page Name --> Weather

I will need to go into GA and be able to select "Long Island" and get uniques and page views. Is there a way to accomplish this?

The other question, how would I pass separate "views" within my code?

There are numerous ways to do it but custom variables are old news.

You could use custom dimensions, content grouping, url renaming etc.  It really depends on your needs.

Some resources for you:

That said, a hit level custom dimension(s) sent with the pageview would probably work fine.
