Server to server tracking

Hello,

We use server side events to track non user generated events, more of a system level events.

Is it possible to fire server-side events without having them count as sessions?

Hey Ran,

No, session is the collection of the hits and you have to have a session. That said, you can use the measurement protocol (MP) to send a separate hit with a different unique client id and to a different tracker, and that will not impact the data collection of the visitors onsite. Perhaps you could pass a session id in the MP push and also as a custom dimension for the user and then stitch them both offline.
