Same Web Property is tracked twice

So about a week ago our bounce rate dropped by about 40% in one day and has stayed about there since. When I checked out Tag Assistant it was telling me that the "same web property is tracked twice." I've checked for conflicting Classic and Universal code, but I feel like I'm missing something. Any advice helps, thanks!

Hi,

Check in your source code where are the tracking codes located and keep only one of them - the one in the head tag.

Let me know if you have more questions.

Hi Arnold,

Thanks for the help! However, I feel like I am missing something as when I look in the source code I only find the tracking code once.

Hi Zachary,

It looks like there is one instance of GA tracking code installed directly on the site and also a tag manager container. If tag manager is being used to manage tags across the site, I would continue to use that and remove the hard coded instance of the Analytics tracking code.

Hi Zachary,

As Tommy said you have a GA tracking tag firing through Google Tag Manager and I noticed that you are using Drupal with the Google Analytics module. You need either to disable the module or to remove the universal analytics tracking tag from your GTM container in order to resolve the issue. If the Drupal GA module tracks additional useful information to you it would be better to keep it for tracking. Hope this helps.
