Hello,

I would like to ask you how to solve my problem on topic: "Referring subdomain traffic showing up as direct traffic in Analytics"

My domain: www.example.com

My subdomain: sub.example.com

My subdomain tracking code:

ga('create', 'UA-38492554-X', 'example.com');

All traffic from my domain (www.example.com) to my subdomain (sub.example.com) goes to direct traffic but not to referral traffic- example.com.

Can you help me out please?

Thanks a lot

Hi Matus :-)
This happens because of the Google Analytics Referral Exclusion List.
The following article gives a good explanation of the situation and a solution that uses custom javascript
