Moved From Blogspot to Wordpress: GA no longer tracking

Hello,

I had a google domain and recently moved it to self-hosted wordpress. The URL has not changed (www.injeniouslife.com) but since I have moved, GA is no longer tracking any information. I added the GA HTML in the footer of my page but it still isn't working.

Any advice or help would be great!

Thanks,

Jen

Hi Jennifer K :-)
Looking at the site source code, the tracking code seems to possibly be inserted in a widget is that correct?

To help avoid installation errors, the recommended way to insert the tracking code on wordpress so that it tracks correctly is with one of the free plugins available for this purpose.
Plugins also offer some useful configuration options for the tracking code too
https://wordpress.org/plugins/google-analytics-dashboard-for-wp/
They have a good video on this page with instructions re how to install and authenticate plugin etc.

Hi Jennifer K :-)
the other copy of the tracking code not installed with the plugin needs to be removed.

Once its all setup and installed correctly it usually takes around 24-48hrs for data to start showing in the reports

I don't believe I have any filters.
I clicked the property and it's just a flat line reading 0. When I go to the tracking info under "admin," it says no data has been been received in the past 48 hours.

It can sometimes take a while to start tracking.
Can you make sure in the plugin settings, its not configured to block your own visits.
Once that is done, if you start browsing the site, are you able to see any data in the Google Analytics Real Time reports when you look at those in Google Analytics Reports Interface
(I'm not seeing any errors when i check your website via browser)
