Mis-representation of LinkedIn traffic in GA

My name is Palla. I have a website called and other websites like &


When I share the post links of that sites on LinkedIn, I see good traffic in LinkedIn Stats.

But when I check GA, I don't see any.

Is there any code-implementation I should do.


If so please guide me in the easiest and flexible manner.

Hi Palla,

It depends on how you share the links. If you are using a link shortener, you may see the traffic as direct. If you are you should be using utm tagging and then shortening the link:

That said, I would always expect some difference in the two.

Lastly you do not need any modifications to the Google Analytics Tracking Code on your site.
