Hi everyone,

I have a client where we want to be able to segment "logged in users" and "logged in users" in GA. I've seen several older posts about this but sadly could not get them to work. Can someone please help me. If I'm correct their's a few things I need help with:

1) which javascript code should we implement

2) where do we want to add javascript code

3) setting up segment in GA to track proper functions of javascript code

Any insight helps, many thanks in advance

Kyle

Hi Kyle,

You should set a custom dimension at the user level for when customers authenticate on your website. A great way to do this is to integrate the user ID feature which will create a new view for logged in users and grant you access to the user ID reports.
