Implementation of node.js & express.js code for getting remote client address

Hello,

I am trying to filter traffic originating from internal users running behind a proxy server. The proxy server has x-forwarded-for header enabled which contains the client IP address. How do I implement this code both on server side and client side ? Also, what settings on the GA console will help in filtering this traffic or will it happen automatically ?

I have found a link on stack overflow : http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10849687/express-js-how-to-get-remote-client-address but not sure how and where to implement this. Any help would be much appreciated.

Regards,

Vaishakh
