If a user visits (w/ &utm_ values) and REVISITS with new &utm_ values, do new overwrite old?

If a user visits OUrSite.com&utm_source=ORIGINAL

And then, say, signs up for our newsletter and clicks a link it it (in a few days, before the cookie from above expires) and goes to:

OurSite.com&utm_source=NEWSLETTER

And let's assume this is non-paid traffic for both. (The rules for Precedence are that Paid overwrites unpaid or previous Paid). But does not mention whether non-paid overwrites non-paid.

Will GoogleAnalytics show that second visit source as Newsletter or Original?

And if it's Original, is there anyway to FORCE it to accept the new one?

Hi,

GA will report the first session as Original and the subsequent session as Newsletter.

Here is the processing order of traffic in GA for further reference -
